Peacock Day Parade
Greetings;
The Pavo Civic Club would like to start off by thanking
those of you who have continued to support and participate with us in the past years, and we also welcome those of you who
are new to us. Peacock Day will be held May 9, 2009 in the City of Pavo, Ga. The parade line-up starts
in front of the Pavo Hardware and Feed Store on South Main Street. We hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy the festivities.
We look forward to seeing you there.
General Information
1.
Attached is an application to participate in the parade. Please complete
it and mail it to the address below.
2. The entry fee is free.
3. Arrive
no later than 10 AM
4. Stop and register in front of the
Pavo Hardware and Feed Store to get your line up position. (You will be added to the list for the announcer
so you can be introduced to the crowd and the viewing area).
5. The Radio
Club will assist you in finding your position.
6. Horses
and riders will be sent to a quiets, shady, grassy area to help keep animals calm.
7. When
the parade starts the Radio Club will tell you when to move out. DO NOT move until they tell you to go, otherwise you will
be announced incorrectly.
8. The parade ends after you pass
the Peacock Center at College Street. Please continue pass the intersection so the parade does not back up and cause confusion.
